Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment in Soldanesti District Hospital funded through the 2015 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’

On September 28, 2017, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Masanobu Yoshii visited Soldanesti in order to attend the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment in the Soldanesti District Hospital, which is funded through the 2015 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’. The Hospital benefited from a 96,000 USD grant from the Government of Japan, thanks to which 15 pieces of modern medical equipment, including an ultrasonic scanner, medical ventilator, patient monitor, blood gas analyser, etc. were purchased. It is expected that 36,000 residents of Soldanesti District will benefit from the results of this project.

The Chairwoman of Soldanesti District Svetlana Rotundu and Mayor of Soldanesti Ion Cuculescu also attended the ceremony, expressing their appreciation for the Japanese assistance, which would significantly improve the quality of medical services offered by the Hospital.
