On September 21, 2017, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Masanobu Yoshii visited Hincesti in order to attend the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Provision of Medical Equipment for the Hincesti District Hospital, which is funded through the 2016 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’.  The Hospital benefited from an 86,030 USD grant from the Government of Japan, thanks to which a video endoscopy system with gastro- and colonoscope as well as a digital ultrasound scanner were purchased. This will enhance the quality of medical services provided to 100,000 residents of Hincesti District.

The Handover ceremony was attended by approximately 80 persons, including the Chairman of Hincesti District Ghenadie Buza. Moldovan officials and medical staff expressed their appreciation for the Japanese assistance which would significantly improve the quality and accuracy of medical examinations as well as increase the number of tests administered locally at the Hospital.
