Handover Ceremony of the Project for Providing of Medical Equipment for the Municipal Maternity No.2 funded through the 2015 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’

On December 13, 2017, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Masanobu Yoshii visited Chisinau Municipal Maternity No.2 to attend the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Providing of Medical Equipment for Chisinau Municipal Maternity No.2, which is funded through the 2015 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’. The Hospital benefited from an 85,640 USD grant from the Government of Japan, thanks to which Ultrasonic Scanner, Medical Ventilator, Childbirth bed, Electro Coagulator and infant beds were purchased. This will enhance the quality of medical services provided to 5,000 patients per year at the Hospital.
The Handover ceremony was attended by approximately 40 persons, including the Chief of the Health Sector at the Chisinau Municipal Council Mihai Moldovanu. Moldovan officials and medical staff expressed their appreciation for the Japanese assistance which would significantly improve the quality and accuracy of medical examinations as well as increase the number of tests administered locally at the Hospital.
