Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment in Floresti District Hospital

On January 25, 2018, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Masanobu Yoshii visited Floresti in order to attend the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment in the Floresti District Hospital, which is funded through the 2014 Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ‘Kusanone’. The Hospital benefited from a 97,586 USD grant from the Government of Japan, thanks to which 6 pieces of modern medical equipment, including an Ultrasonic Scanner, Video Fibergastroscope, etc. were purchased. It is expected that 76,000 residents of Floresti District will benefit from the results of this project.
The Vice-Chairman of Floresti District Vladimir Gutium also attended the ceremony, expressing their appreciation for the Japanese assistance, which would significantly improve the quality of medical services offered by the Hospital.
