Signed the Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Moldova regarding mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs matters

On January 20, 2022, H.E. Mr. KATAYAMA Yoshihiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Moldova and Mr. Igor TALMAZAN, Director of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, have signed the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova regarding mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs matters.
Main content of the Agreement are (1) both customs authorities mutually support each other, either voluntarily or upon request, through exchanging information which contributes to ensure the proper application of customs laws and regulations and (2) the two governments work together through customs authorities to simplify and harmonize customs procedures.
