Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Educational Environment at Lyceum in Cahul Municipality)

On March 7, 2023, the representatives of the Embassy of Japan attended the fourth edition of the International Festival of Ethnicities, organized traditionally at the Theoretical Lyceum “Dimitrie Cantemir” in Cahul municipality. The event also marked the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Educational Environment at Lyceum in Cahul Municipality, funded through Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme ”Kusanone”. The Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova HE Mr. YAMADA Yoichiro sent a congratulatory video message at the event.
The lyceum benefited from a 90,909 USD grant offered by the Government of Japan, used for the replacement of windows and doors; renovation of kitchen, dining room and auxiliary rooms (walls, floor, ceiling, doors, electrical system, sanitary blocks, etc.). The project aimed at ensuring comfortable and safe conditions for children, teachers and technical staff.
