Grant Assistance of the Grass-Roots Cultural Projects （Handover Ceremony of the Project for Installing Digital library in Moldova State University）

On May 14, the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Installing Digital library in Moldova State University, funded through Grant Assistance of the Grass-Roots Cultural Projects Scheme 'Kusanone', took place. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. YAMADA Yoichiro, Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Igor Sharov, the rector of the USM, Mr. Sergiu Corlat, the vice-rector of the USM and Mrs. Liliana Dogoter, the director of the USM Library.
The university received a grant of 70,814 USD from the Japanese government. With this grant was digital library equipment installed which will contribute to the preservation of historically valuable books and provide free online access to library resources for students, teachers and researchers in Moldova and abroad.
