On July 30, the Handover Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Educational Environment of Public Institution Theoretical Lyceum "Stefan cel Mare" in Drochia, funded through Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme 'Kusanone', took place. The ceremony was attended by the students, teachers and administration of the lyceum, H.E. Mr. YAMADA Yoichiro, Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Cemortan Vasile - President of Drochia District, Ms. Cereteu Nina - Mayor of Drochia, Mr. Josanu Vitalie - Deputy Chief of State Chancellery of Soroca Territorial Office and Mr. Recean Ion - interim Head of Drochia Education Directorate.
The school received a grant of 61,344 USD from the Japanese government. This grant enabled the repairing work of rooms, toilets, electrical and ventilation system on the fourth floor at C building, the repairing roof and the renovation of a washbasin in the resource center room at B building.
