On September 1st, the handover ceremony of The Project for the Renovation of the Gymnastic Hall in Taras Shevchenko Gymnasium School in Chisinau funded through Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme 'Kusanone', took place. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. TAKEUCHI Kazuyuki, Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. Paun Rohovei, Ambassador of Ukraine, Ms. Ludmila Pavlov, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education and Research, Mr. Dmitrii Lecartev, President of the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova, Mr. Victor Pruteanu, Deputy Mayor of the Capital, Ms. Galina Bulat, Co-ordinator of the Education Programme at UNICEF Moldova.
The National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova received 91,039 USD from the Japanese government. The fund was used to renovate Taras Shevchenko Gymnasium School’s gymnastic hall: specifically for ceilings, walls, floors, heating.
